Fiorentina’s Hegazy joins Serie B side Perugia on loan

Hegazy - Fiorentina defender Ahmed Hegazy has officially joined club on loan till the end of the season, it has been confirmed this morning.

The 24-year-old defender has barely got playing time season with the Viola, following his return from two successive ACL injuries.

The Egypt international has stressed a while ago that his future is with Fiorentina and that he has no intention to leave the club, but for now, he will be heading South-East to Perugia.

Hegazy will join Perugia on a dry loan till June 2015 that will see him returning to the Florence-based club after the end of the season.

The Egyptian international will look to impress his parent club in order to start playing for Fiorentina next season, and return to the national team.

It’s well worth mentioning that Perugia are the 13th in the Serie B standings, having 30 points from 24 games played. Perugia are eyeing to return to winning ways again against Vicenza when they face them on Sunday, having won only one game out of their previous 11.

    EGyptian football, lost a lot in the beginning of the new year. Hegazy now plays in series B and mo Salah is going to a low level club, fiorentina . I think it was better for him to go to As Roma for more international visibility because of the champions league.

    At least they will get some playing time even if they are going to lower level clubs. They have to prove themselves in order to go to better clubs
