Drogba, Hazard, Ba & more: Internet reacts to Salah’s brace

An impressed Didier Drogba compared his former teammate’s speed to a V12 – a V engine with 12 cylinders – after the Egyptian international sprinted 60 yards before scoring the first of the night.

Seconds after Salah completed his brace, Drogba tweeted: “He’s on fire,” showing how impressed he was by the 22-year-old’s performance.

Belgium and star Eden Hazard used the same words as Didier as Salah scored his 6th goal in 7 games for the Viola.

As for the Egyptian footballers, Al Ahly legend Mohamed Abou-Treika tweeted: “Game over. Congratulations Salah. Continue.”

Egypt and Umm Salal right back Ahmed Fathi wished Mohamed Salah more goals and victories, and expressed how proud he is of star’s achievements thus far, calling him “the pride of Egyptian football”.

Mohamed El-Nenny, who also reached the final round of his corresponding cup final, congratulated his long-time friend on his performance and goals.

As for Instagram, Senegalese striker Khouma Babacar posted a picture of Salah doing a ‘Sajda’ as he celebrated his first goal with the caption, “good game imam.” An imam in Islam is a person who leads the prayer.
