Bordeaux club president Jean-Louis Triad has commented on the prospective transfer of and national team midfielder , who has impressed on trial with the French Ligue 1 side.

With the end of the transfer window fast-approaching, the president of the Ligue 1 side made comments to media regarding the transfer of Gaber, whilst also highlighting a recurring issue with players moving from Egyptian clubs to Europe, the agreement of a transfer fee:

“Financially, we do not agree. We have made a new proposal and expect an answer by tomorrow (Wednesday) morning.”

The long-standing president also mentioned another problem with the prospective deal, stating:

“Gaber will be picked in the Egypt squad taking part in the upcoming CHAN tournament. We need players operating immediately and this does not seem to be the case.”

It remains to be seen if there are any other twists in the transfer, with former French international and Bayern Munich defender Willy Sagnol, current manager of the Bordeaux side, reportedly giving the green light to the deal as he looks to reinforce his squad early on in the season.
