Egyptian winger  contributed off the bench as AS Roma defeated newly-promoted side Frosinone 2-0 in .

The 23-year-old Egypt winger was given a break returning from international duty as he started on the bench for Roma, with the Giallorossi set to face Spanish giants Barcelona next Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League.

Roma’s pressure against their opponents in the first half was remarkable, as the league leaders were looking to secure all three points.

Bosnian international Edin Dzeko was very present in the match, putting constant pressure inside the box as he was looking to get his second goal in Serie A.

25-year-old Spanish midfielder, Iago Falque, took a few attempts on goal and in the 44th minute converted a strike into the back of the net to give his side the lead, making it 1-0.

The second half started and was very even, with both sides playing passes inside the box but no dangerous attempts made.

Mohamed Salah came on in the 69th minute in place of goal scorer, Iago Falque.

The Egyptian was not able to perform to his best, given the short amount of time left within the match, but managed to contribute to the second goal scored by Juan Iturbe in injury time. After Salah won possession in midfield, Iturbe made a long run towards the opposition’s box before finishing off the counter attack.

The match finished 2-0 for AS Roma, who now stand in first place in Serie A with 7 points, prior to hosting Barcelona in the Champions League next week.
