Touré makes 23-man FIFA Ballon d’Or Shortlist

Côte d’Ivoire captain Yaya Touré has been named as part of the 2015 Ballon d’Or 23-man shortlist.

The 32-year-old experienced a drop in form in 2014/15 after the lofty heights he’d reached in the season before that – 20 goals and a winner’s medal in the 2013/14 Premier League – but still managed to net his second highest-ever goal tally with 12 club goals to his name.

On the international front, Touré led Côte d’Ivoire to their second Africa Cup of Nations triumph, 13 years after their first win.
