Pharaohs Abroad Roundup: 22/10 – 25/10
Too many Egyptians playing abroad? Don’t have the time to watch your favorite foreign-based Egyptian players? KingFut have got you covered; we’re providing you with a roundup of all the Pharaohs Abroad performances around the globe this week.
Lierse – Ahmed ‘Zizo’ Sayed, Ahmed Hassan Elgenawy
Both Egyptian youngsters featured in Lierse’s 1-0 win over KSK Heist in the Belgium 2nd division. Lierse scored their only goal through a penalty in the 40th minute. Zizo started the match, and was replaced by Egyptian compatriot Ahmed Hassan Elgenawy in the 68th minute. Having played 11 matches in the 2nd division, Lierse lie in 12th place out of 17 with only 11 points.
Omonia Nicosia – Karim Hafez
Karim Hafez started at left back for Omonia as they thrashed Pafos 6-0 at home in the Cypriot first division. The rout started when Pafos’ keeper conceded a penalty and was sent off in the 9th minute. Karim almost had an assist in the 15th minute when his great in-swinging cross was just missed by an Omonia attacker. Spectators thought Hafez scored his first goal for Omonia when his well taken freekick just brushed off the side netting. Omonia now lie in 3rd place with 15 points.
Chesterfield – Sam Morsy
Chesterfield, captained by Egyptian national team eligible Sam Morsy, lost 3-0 at home against Scunthorpe United. All three goals were scored in the second half after Chesterfield’s Daniel Jones conceded a penalty and sent off in the 55th minute. Morsy, who was cautioned in the 37th minute for a foul, was substituted in the 87th minute. Chesterfield currently lie in 13th place in League 1 standings.
Hull City – Ahmed Elmohamady
Ahmed Elmohamady assisted in Hull City’s 2-0 win over Birmingham City. Two goals in as many minutes in the first half is all the tigers needed to seal the three points and move up the table and take over Birmingham City’s 2nd spot in the Championship.
FC Levadia – Omar El-Hussieny
Omar El-Hussieny’s FC Levadia lost any hope of winning the league title after dropping two vital points and drawing 0-0 against Paernu Linnameeskond. El-Hussieny played the full 90 minutes. League rivals Flora Tallin are now 8 points ahead with 2 matches remaining in the league.
Panetolikos – Amr Warda
Amr Warda came on in the 64th minute but couldn’t help his team get a result as they fell 1-2 at home against Platanias in the Greek Super League. Panetolikos are now winless in 5 matches.
Roma – Mohamed Salah
Mohamed Salah scored and was controversially sent-off in his return against Fiorentina in Florence. Roma won the match 2-1 to move up to 1st place in Seria A standings. Mohamed Salah has now scored 5 goals in all competitions with Roma so far.
Nacional – Ali Ghazal
Ali Ghazal was an unused sub as Nacional played out a scoreless draw against Boavista. Both teams played the last third of the game with one man down as their substitutes each received red cards. Nacional lie in the bottom half of the table with 8 points in the league after playing 8 matches.
Al Ahli Jeddah – Mohamed Abdel-Shafy

Falkenbergs – Alexander Jakobsen

Basel – Mohamed El-Nenny
Reigning Swiss champions Basel remain on top of the domestic league with a 1-0 win over Young Boys, extending the difference between them and 2nd-placed Grasshoppers to 10 points. Breel Embolo scored the only goal of the match in the 31st minute. Mohamed El-Nenny started and played the whole match.
