2018 World Cup qualifying – Egypt vs Chad Live Commentary
Three days after Egypt lost 1-0 to Chad in N’Djamena, the Pharaohs will attempt to come back and secure progression to the final round of qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

90′: We are into 3 minutes of stoppage time at the Borg El-Arab Stadium. Egypt still lead 4-0.
86′: Amr Warda with some brilliant work down the right leads to a corner which forces an athletic save from the Chad keeper.
84′: Final change for Egypt. Kahraba off for Momen Zakaria.
81′: Ahmed Hassan ‘Koka’ goes off to a standing ovation following his two-goal shift; replaced by Amr Gamal.
78′: Koka almost converts his third goal of the match following some brilliant work down the right from Gaber. Shot goes just over!
75′: Mostafa Fathi with a great bit of skill down the right but can’t seem to get his shot on target. The young winger is then replaced by Amr Warda.
72′: Omar Gaber and Mostafa Fathi combine down the right wing for an incredibly beautiful piece of play. Unfortunately no end product.
68′: Kahraba and Fathi combine once more and the latter attempts a shot from the left side of the box with the outside of his boot but it goes over the bar.
66′: Close! Mostafa Fathi’s chip over the keeper just misses the net after being played in superbly by Kahraba.
65′: Egypt remain in control of the match but have started to slowly sit back with their comfortable lead.
52′: Koka almost gets his hat-trick. He chests down a long ball and sends a volley goal-ward, but it’s well-stopped by the Chad goalkeeper.
48′: The fans are in full voice supporting their Pharaohs, and the players aren’t disappointing.
46′: Kickoff. No changes for Egypt at halftime, rightly so. They’ve looked fantastic.
45′ +1: Halftime. A much better performance for the Pharaohs in front of their home crowd sees them take a 4-0 lead into the locker room.
40′: A fourth! Koka gets his second with another header! Sabri Rahil finds Koka wide open in the box, and his header is perfect. Smooth sailing for the Pharaohs; 4-0.
35′: GOAL for Egypt. Koka makes amends for his earlier chance by heading home an Abdallah El-Said cross following a quick corner to make it 3-0 for the home side.
33′: It really should be 3-0 now. A delightful attack orchestrated by El-Nenny and Ghaly ends up with the ball at Koka’s feet at the edge of box. His shot narrowly misses wide. Still 2-0 Egypt.
31′: A quick counter-attack for Egypt almost earns them a third goal. Kahraba finds Fathi, who cuts inside on his left foot and fires a shot off that is saved by the Chad goalkeeper.
26′: Chad’s first chance is comfortably handled by El-Shennawy.
23′: Goal disallowed for Egypt. Rahil’s shot is saved, and Koka sends the rebound home, but he’s whistled for a foul. Still 2-0 for Egypt, who are comfortably controlling the game.
10′: Another GOAL for Egypt. A Mostafa Fathi cross finds a streaking Abdallah El-Said, and his booming header lands perfectly in the upper corner. 2-0 Egypt.
5′: GOAL for Egypt! Omar Gaber finds El-Nenny with a low cross, and the Basel midfielder sends his one-timer past the Chad goalkeeper. 1-0 Egypt.
2′: First chance for Egypt as Koka finds Kahraba on the edge of the box, who sends his shot tamely to the Chad goalkeeper.
