KingFut covers all the action on day three of the football tournament in Gouna, with everyone’s mind set on qualifying to the final.

It was up to the qualified teams to make their way to the final as day three witnessed a series of exciting goals, spot kicks, celebrations and more.

Boys

Quarter-finals:

Alsson 2(5)-(4)2 TBS

youngster Ibrahim Yassin took the match by storm, scoring two superb goals but they were not enough as Karim El Kholy and Mohamed El Feky made sure the match would go to penalties. In the end, it was not meant to be for TBS as they lost the spotkicks challenge against Alsson, with the latter qualifying to the semis. Ziad ‘Zanetti’ was given the Man-of-the-Match award.

MES 1-0 NIS

A tight affair between Modern English School and Nermin Ismail school ended by a solitary effort from Mohie Khalil, sending MES to the last four.

Manor House 2-0 MAC

Possibly the strongest individual performance by a player in one match throughout the tournament from Manor House’s tricky number seven, Mohamed Yehia Dea’bes [De3bes]. Tricks, flair, goals; the fans were in for a real treat to the eyes as the winger scored a brace to sink MAC. No argument who was the man-of-the-match here.

Maadi Narmer School 2(4)-(5)2 Narmer American College

Hamalawy was first to get on the scoresheet courtesy of a howler from MNS goalkeeper. Soon after, Yousef Shanan equalised the score through a direct free-kick.

At the start of the second half, Man-of-the-Match Adham Abdrabou scored the best goal of the day, skipping past a player in the box and chipping the goalkeeper in exquisite fashion.

Everyone thought NAC had done it, but Karim Osama had different ideas, scoring a header from a well taken corner in the last kick of the match to even the score and take the match to penalties. NAC managed to edge this one and qualify to the semi-finals after stopper Yassin Dinana saved the day by stopping two kicks.

Semi-finals:

Alsson 2:0 Modern English School

Ibrahim Yassin scored another brace, to take his tally to a massive nine goals in four matches. We’re really getting bored of explaining how good this young striker is but Al Ahly SC really have a gem at their hands. Man-of-the-Match easily.

Narmer American College 0(3)-(4)0 Manor House

Zamalek’s Karim ‘Kikoo’ Amr did it all today. Shots, through-balls, chips, flicks. He even stood between the posts for the penalty kicks, saving not once, but twice and taking his side MHS to the final. There is no doubt that the best player in the tournament award will go to either Kiko or Alsson’s Ibrahim ‘Hima’ Yassin after today’s performance.

Girls

Alsson have qualified in the Girls tournament as well to face EBIS in the final after AIMZ and TBS were defeated in the Semi-Finals.
