SQUASH: Egypt beat New Zealand in Women's World Team Championships

’s women team defeated New Zealand 3-0 in the second day of Women’s World Team Championships.

After beating India 3-0 in the opening day of the tournament, Egypt represented by , Raneem El Welily, , and secured their place in the quarter-finals after beating New Zealand 3-0 in 82 minutes.

In the first game, World No.8 Omneya Abdel Kawy defeated Emma Millar 3-0 (11-9, 11-9, 11-7) in just 21 minutes, before World No.4 Raneem El Welily beat Amanda Landers-Murphy 3-0 (11-5, 11-8, 11-2) in 39 minutes.

In the third game, World No.1 Nour El Sherbini beat Megan Craig 3-0 (11-6, 12-10, 11-3) in 22 minutes, to win the game for Egypt and secure their place in the quarter-finals.

It’s worth mentioning that the tournament is held in Issy-les-Moulineaux, France and will take place from November 27 to December 3, 2016.
