OFFICIAL: Gabon appoint Jose Camacho as new manager

Football Federation have appointed Jose Antonio Camacho as their new manager signing a two-year contract that runs until 2018.

The 61-year-old, who had stints at Osasuna, Benfica and Real Madrid, has signed a two-year deal to succeed , who was sacked last month.

The Spaniard has also a record at an international level, managing Spain and most recently China.

The former left-back now looks to work with Gabon in their preparations for the (AFCON) held at home soil.

’s first competitive match will be the AFCON opener against Guinea-Bissau, as the hosts were drawn with Cameroon, Burkina Faso and Guinea Bissau.
