Royal Mouscron continued their poor run of form, extending their winless streak to eight games as they now sit 15th in the league standings on 11 points.

Neither side managed to break the deadlock in the first half at Sint-Truiden.

Seven minutes after the break, the hosts were already 1-0 up courtesy of Ruben Fernandes’ effort.

As the visitors kept pushing for an equaliser, manager Glen De Boeck brought on Filip Markovic to replace Trezeguet, who reportedly picked up a minor injury, at the one-hour mark.

However, Mouscron were unable to find a way back into the match as they slumped to their fifth defeat in a row.

The loss comes less than a week after Mouscron were thrashed 7-0 by RSC Anderlecht. They will host KV Mechelen, who sit eighth in the league standings on Dec.10.
