Four Egyptians to play in FA Cup Third Round

The third round draw of this season’s Football Association (FA) Challenge Cup has taken place, with English Premier League and Championship sides joining the tournament.

Four Egyptian players’ clubs have been guaranteed a spot in the third round, while Adam El-Abd‘s Shrewsbury Town are set to play a replay of their second round fixture away to Fleetwood Town on December 13th.

The winner of the match will travel to Bristol to face Championship side Bristol City.

Ahmed Elmohamady‘s Hull City is set to host fellow Premier League side Swansea City, which is coached by former manager Bob Bradley.

Championship side Preston has been drawn to face Arsenal at home, with Mohamed Elneny still looking to seize the starting spot in Arsenal’s midfield.

Egyptian midfielder Sam Morsy, who is enjoying play time with his club at the moment, will travel with Barnsley FC to play League Two side Blackpool.

Ramadan Sobhi and Stoke City will look to continue their good run of form as they host Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The third round fixtures will be played January 6 through 9, with the exact dates and times to be announced at a later time.
