Ittihad Chairman: I have no time to respond to Mortada

Posted on January 4, 2017

The chairman of Saudi club Al-Ittihad Jeddah Hatem Baasehn refuses to reply to Mortada Mansour’s statement regarding former player Mahmoud Kahraba transfer fee.

In a post-match interview Baashen was asked about Mansour’s statement, where he asked for 40 million Euros in order to let go of Kahraba, which did not go well with the chairman.

“I do not have time to respond to Mortada, it is his statement, and he sees that his player is worth 40 million euro, and that is his opinion,” Baashen said.

Baashen also commented on Kahraba receiving his salary 3 months late, saying: “His memory bretrays him. His payment was only two or three months late, and he will be receiving his salary this month.”

He also revealed that the club has an agreement with the players and the technical staff, which is that one month national players will be paid, and in the following month it will be foreign players.

Kahraba joined Ittihad on a season-long loan from Zamalek in the summer, and he has scored 13 goals, in 16 matches so far.
