Bidvest midfielder Xola Mlambo insists his team will fight over the entire 90 minutes against Al Ahly in order to go back to South Africa with a good result.

Bidvest will face Al Ahly in Champions League round of 32 in Cairo, Saturday 11 March at Al Salam Stadium.

“We know it will be a difficult game against Al Ahly, we are playing against a big team. Our manager said that Al Ahly fans will have a great role in the match,” Xola Mlambo told ON Sport shortly after arriving in Cairo.

Mlambo added that Bidvest manager also warned them about the experience that Al Ahly players have in African tournaments, a luxury they do not have.

“We have clear instructions to keep an eye on Al Ahly players especially the strikers as we know their dangerous and experience,” Mlambo concluded.

Al Ahly have won the  eight times, with their last win coming in 2013. They failed to qualify from the group stage in last year’s edition.
