After suffering three defeats against Lazio, Napoli and Lyon, came out to defend his players before their upcoming Serie A clash against Palermo.

Spalletti stated, “It’s all my responsibility, I have faith in the players’ reaction, in the locker room you say things and you try to tell the truth. Most importantly, is how the players listen to me and perform the right way.”

The 58-year-old added, “I say that we are not tired, but we have to rest four or five players. For example, Dzeko will rest and Totti will start on the bench tomorrow. The team has a certain balance. Salah has now become irreplaceable and we managed to achieve important victories also without him. When he was in AFCON we won all games.”

“Right now we only have on goal, which is to win our upcoming game against Palermo. We have to plant in our players’ heads is that tranquility is the key to success. The strength we have allows us to play every game and win.”

On the Juventus controversial win against Milan he said, “I would have like to be the referee, but I am too old for that right now. It’s is an important role done by professionals. I would not give my opinion on what happened.”

Il Giallrossi  are set to face Palermo in the 28th round of the Serie A, hoping to decrease the gap between the leaders, Juventus.
