KingFut rounds up the Pharaohs Abroad action across Europe this week, to keep you up to date with Egyptian players overseas.

– Basel (Switzerland)

May 14 – Swiss Super League: ’s Omar Gaber watched from the bench as FC Basel were held to a 3-3 home draw against seventh-placed Thun in the 32nd fixture of the league. Following the draw, FC Basel, who already secured the league title, reached the 79th point and are set to host third-placed Sion on May 18.

May 18 – Swiss Super League: Basel let a lead slip in added time as they drew 2-2 with Sion. Austrian international Janko gave the champions into the lead in typical fashion from a cross. Despite Akolo’s equaliser before half time, Basel seemed to have the game wrapped up as Seydou Doumbia scored in the closing stages. However, Da Costa equalised again in the dying moments of the game as it finished 2-2. Basel’s next game is against rivals Young Boys in the league before their cup final against tonight’s opponents in a week’s time.

– Royal Excel Mouscron (Belgium)

May 14 – Europa League Playoffs:Egypt’s Mahmoud Hassan ‘Trezeguet’ played the full 90 minutes as leaders Genk defeated Royal Excel Mouscron 0-2 in the eighth fixture of the Europa League playoffs. Following the loss, Mouscron occupy the fourth spot in the table with eight points and are set to face third-placed Eupen on May 17.

Ahmed Hassan ‘Kouka’ – SC Braga (Portugal)

May 14 – Primeira Liga: Injured Ahmed Hassan ‘Kouka’ was excluded from the squad as Braga defeated Nacional 4-0 in the 33rd fixture of the Portuguese Primeira Liga. Following the win, Braga currently occupy the fifth league spot with 54 points and are set to face Tondela in their final fixture on May 21.

Mohamed Elneny Arsenal (England)

May 16 – Premier League: Arsenal defeated relegated Sunderland 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening to keep their hopes of Champions League football next season alive, with Elneny failing to feature at any point in the match. Arsenal are now only just one point away from 4th placed Liverpool and they host 7th placed Everton on Sunday in the league’s last matchday of the season.
