Arsenal defeated Cheslea 2-1 in the final at Wembley stadium to win their 13th title with Arsene Wenger.

The first chance of the game came in the fifth minute when the ball bounced off Alexis Sanchez and the Chilean capitalized on Cheslea’s lack of concentration. The Chelsea defenders were appealing for handball and a potential offside on Aaron Ramsey, but Sanchez needed a simple finish to give Arsenal an early 1-0 lead.

Only a minute later, a sublime pass from Alexis Sanchez found Mesut Ozil who chipped Chelsea’s Courtois but Gary Cahill was there to clear the ball off the line and keep his team in the game.

Arsenal kept piling pressure on the Premier League champions when Mesut Ozil’s corner kick in the 20th minute found Welbeck’s header that hit the post and Aaron Ramsey couldn’t score from the close rebound.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte looked to change things up and revive Chelsea’s hope in this tie in the second half when Fabregas came on for Matic in the 61st minute.

A turning point in the match came in the 68th minute when Victor Moses went down in the box appealing for a penalty but was given a second yellow card instead, and was sent off to give Arsenal a one-man advantage.

The response from the Blues’ was in the 76th minute when a delightful chipped through-ball from Fabregas found Diego Costa who chested the ball down and took a shot that was powerful enough to get past Ospina and level the scoring for Chelsea to make it 1-1.

Just three minutes later, a low cross from Giroud on the left wing found a free Aaron Ramsey in the box whose diving header restored the lead and score the winner for Arsenal this evening. Elneny made a late substitute appearance for Alexis Sanchez in added time.

Arsenal have ended their season with a 5th place league finish, qualifying for the Europa league and securing the FA Cup title.
