SQUASH: Karim Abdel Gawad drops to Number 2 in PSA World Rankings

World Champion, , slipped down to number two in the PSA Men’s World Rankings as Frenchman Gregory Gaultier was named World No.1 for the sixth time in his career.

Abdel Gawad was able to claim the top spot in last month’s rankings by reaching the final of El-Gouna International Open even though he lost the title to Frenchman Gregory Gaultier, he was still able to overtake him in the rankings.

Former World No.1 Mohamed ElShorbagy, who was on top of the rankings until March, and former World No.1 Nick Matthew stayed at No.3 and No.4, respectively. Meanwhile, Ali Farag moved into the world’s top five for the first time in his career, followed by England’s James Willstrop who stayed in the sixth place.

Egyptians completed the world’s top 10 list as Marwan El-Shorbagy was ranked seventh, Ramy Ashour eighth, Tarek Momen ninth and Fares Dessouky tenth.
