Wadi Degla have launched an investigation with their player due to his comments on a TV show.

The legendary goalkeeper’s contract with Wadi Degla runs out this summer and it’s expected that he will join Misr El-Maqassa, as he search for Champions League football.

The 44-year-old appeared on “Ramez Underground” on Wednesday, and his club Wadi Degla decided to investigate his comments on the TV show.

It’s worth mentioning that this is not the first incident between the goalkeeper and his club as he was transfer-listed by chairman Magdy Samy last February, after reportedly slapping teammate and third-choice goalkeeper Khaled Walid.

Essam El-Hadary has joined Wadi Degla in the summer of 2015 from Ismaily, making 25 appearances for them this season. He conceded 28 goals and managed to keep only 9 clean sheets.

Wadi Degla currently sit 11th in the Egyptian Premier League table with 37 points, and their next game will be against Arab Contractors on Sunday, June 18.
