’s Minister of Youth and Sports Khaled Abdel-Aziz has revealed that 70,000 fans will be allowed to attend ’s World Cup qualifier against next September.

The Pharaohs will travel to Kampala to face the Cranes on Thursday, August 31 at the Mandela National Stadium, before hosting them on the 5th of September at Borg El Arab stadium in the fourth round of Group E.

The minister added that fans will only be allowed to attend the international matches and not the domestic ones due to security reasons.

It’s worth mentioning that the Ministry of Interior allowed 75,000 fans to attend Egypt’s World Cup qualifier against Ghana last November, which ended in a 2-0 win to the Pharaohs.

Egypt were drawn in group E alongside Ghana, Uganda, and Congo. The Pharaohs currently top the group with six points, two points above second-placed Uganda, while Ghana sit third with only one point and Congo languish at the bottom of the group with 0 points.
