Al Ahly manager Hossam El-Badry has revealed that their encounter with will be difficult, adding that they have prepared well for the game.

The Red Devils will face Zanaco on Saturday, July 1, in the fifth round of group D, and they have to at least get a draw to boost their chances of qualifying to the quarter-finals.

“Our encounter with Zanaco will be difficult for both sides. The loss against Wydad Casablanca has made the group more difficult for all teams,” El-Badry said.

“It’s going to be a difficult match for both teams, and we don’t care whether it’s an away game or not. We’ve prepared really well for the game and looking to get the three points,” he added.

Al Ahly currently sit second with seven points, three points behind leaders Zanaco, while Wydad lie in third with six points and Coton Sport languish at the bottom of the group with zero points.

It’s worth mentioning that the first-leg between the two sides ended in a 0-0 draw last May. The crucial game will take place at the National Heroes Stadium, Lusaka, Zambia at 15:00 CLT.
