Al Ahly: No intention to let Meteb and Ghaly go

Al Ahly football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz denied any news claiming that the club’s coach Hossam El-Badry wants to let go of veterans and .

Both players recently renewed their contracts for one more season with the Red Devils. However, news emerged earlier claiming the departure of Meteb and Ghaly after Al Ahly’s chairman Mahmoud Taher met with head coach Hossam El-Badry to discuss everything related to the football team in the upcoming period.

“No discussions were made at all regarding Meteb or Ghaly during the meeting which was held on Monday between Mahmoud Taher and Hossam El-Badry,” Abdel-Hafiz explained. “El-Badry stressed on maintaining all players who are listed in the African championship.”

Abdel-Hafiz added that the team’s coach doesn’t want to let the players go especially that the club is aiming to win the CAF Champions League and will compete in Cup and the Arab Club Championship.
