played 50 minutes as defeated Crystal Palace 2-0 to book a place in the final of the Premier League Asia Trophy held in Hong Kong.

This marks Salah’s second game with the Reds after he made his debut last week, scoring in his side’s 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic.

Liverpool had a bright start as they were playing some interesting football and Daniel Sturridge almost scored in the early stages of the game following great effort from Ben Woodburn and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Salah’s first chance came around the 15-minute mark as he burst past Damien Delaney but his cross was turned into a corner. Seven minutes later, the international controlled the ball brilliantly but his shot went just wide off the bar.

Four minutes before halftime, Scott Dann was booked for bringing down Salah when he was beaten for pace.

Jurgen Klopp fielded an almost completely different side in the early minutes of the second half, with Mignolet being the only player to continue on. Salah was subbed off for Ryan Kent just five minutes after the restart.

On the one-hour mark, Dominic Solanke broke the deadlock after firing home a long-range shot. Minutes later, Grujic had a shot that went just inches away from the top corner.

Divock Origi made it 2-0 for Liverpool 11 minutes from time, as he slotted home from close range after Coutinho’s shot was blocked by a Crystal Palace defender.

Palace were trying to reduce the deficit after conceding the second goal but they were denied a couple of times. Kent fired a low shot in the dying minutes of the game but Hennessey parried it away.

Liverpool claimed a 2-0 victory to advance to Saturday’s final in which they will face Leicester City who defeated Ahmed Hegazi’s West Brom on penalties on Wednesday.
