manager Hossam El-Badry stressed that the Red Devils have to forget their triumph against Smouha and turn their focus to the next encounter.

Al Ahly have reached the Cup final following their effortless 4-0 victory over Smouha thanks to goals from Junior Ajayi, Saleh Gomaa and a brace by Walid Soliman.

“All the teams that reached the semi-final are big clubs, I was happy with the good sportsmanship between Al Ahly and Al Masry in the league games, Al Masry is a great team,” El-Badry said.

“We have to put the Smouha game past us. The Cup title is one step away, the next match is important. We should not look at the opponent’s name, at the end of the day it is a game in Egypt Cup with no further dimensions.”

The Red Castle, who are bidding for their first Egypt Cup title since 2007, will play the final against Al Masry, who beat Cairo giants Zamalek 2-0.

“There are concrete offers for Hossam Ghaly and Momen Zakaria and we will announce our final decision once it is taken,” El-Badry added.

KingFut has recently revealed that Al Ahly skipper Hossam Ghaly has informed the club of his decision to join Saudi Arabia outfits Al Nassr this transfer window.
