masry Al Masry chairman Samir Halabia has expressed his happiness over his team’s performances and accomplishments this season.

Halabia admired his team’s qualification to play on the continental level after being able to ensure their participation in the CAF Confederation Cup for the second consecutive season, in addition to having the chance to play in the Egyptian Super Cup.

“The club’s achievements this season are no coincidence because everything that the club had achieved came from the infinite support of the Port Said fans, as well as the tremendous support from the Governor of Port Said General Adel Ghadban, who was the club’s biggest supporter and the main reason behind the stability of the club’s foundation,” he added.

The chairman then praised the players who have worked hard over the span of two seasons to make the Port Said fans happy, and the technical staff headed by Hossam Hassan for reaching the Egypt Cup final for the first time in 19 years, as well as entering the league’s top four for the second year in a row.

He added that he has to continue to back the manager and the players in order to make them concentrate on the Cup final against next week, as he wishes his team to crown their efforts by winning the cup to make their fans proud.

Al Masry’s awaited cup final against Al Ahly will be held on Tuesday, August 15 at Alexandria’s Borg El-Arab Stadium.
