The side that finished fifth in the league standings last season dominated the game, up until Markus Neumayr crossed the ball for Trezeguet to open the scoring by his striking header in the 36th minute.

Four minutes before the break, the Pharaoh was awarded a penalty that was converted by Neumayr to make it 0-2 for the visitors. But right before the end of the first half, Emre Akbaba reduced the deficit for the home team.

worked the second half with sheer dominance, forcing coach Kemal Ozdes to order his troops to park the bus and goalkeeper Ramazan Kose to make a couple of brilliant saves.

The international, who joined the Turkish side on loan during the summer transfer window, continued to shine in his defensive game, as he completed five successful tackles – better than any of his teammates.

After claiming an away victory in the league opener, Kasimpasa will face in the second round of the Turkish Super Lig on Friday.
