KingFut.com were proud to cover the Egyptian men’s football team at the 2012 London Olympics, where Hany Ramzy’s squad were eliminated in the quarter-finals. The Pharaohs best-ever finish at the Games was fourth, twice in Amsterdam 1928 and Tokyo 1964. This was the first time Egypt qualified to the Olympics since 1992 in Barcelona – where they were eliminated in the group stage. The three overage players who joined the U-23 squad at London 2012 were Al-Ahly trio Mohamed Abou-Treika, Ahmed Fathi and Emad Metab.
