VIDEO: Mohamed Salah scores as El-Nenny makes Basel debut

Egypt’s scored his third league goal for in a 3-0 win over Sion on Sunday, while Mohamed El-Nenny came off the bench for his European debut in Switzerland.

Egypt teammates Mohamed Salah and El-Nenny both stared on the bench on Sunday against Sion, with Salah scoring for the Swiss champions just seven minutes after his introduction.

Marco Streller scored the opener for Basel while Valentin Stocker’s superb strike sealed the victory for the defending champions.

Egypt midfielder Mohamed El-Nenny, who signed for Basel on loan from Arab Contractors near the close of the winter transfer window, came on to replace Ivorian Serey Die for his official Basel debut with 17 minutes before full time.

Basel remain second in the Swiss Super League with 36 points, four behind leaders Grasshoppers.
