Gedo hungry for more goals with sights on permanent England stay
Egyptian striker Mohamed Nagy ‘Gedo’ is looking to build on a fine start to proceedings in the Championship while hoping to stay in England after scoring 3 goals in his first 5 games.
Egypt international Gedo, who joined Hull City on loan from Al Ahly along with fellow Egyptian Ahmed Fathi on transfer deadline day, made it very clear he has no intention on returning to Egypt in the near future, despite only being in England on for a month so far.
Gedo has already warmed to the country, telling Egyptian reporters: “I’m having a great life here and I want to continue my career in England and hope not to go back to Egypt now.”
On last week’s defeat to Bolton, Gedo said, “I honestly felt very sad because I was unable to help against Bolton. Our fans couldn’t believe what was unfolding. It was a nightmare. We must all put in an extra effort to forget this defeat.”
He added: “I have a big need to score in the next match and will do my best to help the Tigers achieve their Premier League dream.”
Gedo praised the Hull City fans and hoped to offer them some satisfaction by winning the next game, he said, “I want to delight the Tigers fans who have supported me since I came to England.”
“I desperately need to score on Saturday and return the club on the right path”
Gedo and Fathi linked-up with a third Egyptian international, Ahmed Elmohamady, at Hull City, who has spent almost three years in England so far, the past six months on loan from Sunderland.
