2′ – Strong shot from Amr Zaki is straight at the keeper. Egypt looking menacing!

3′ – Free kick to Ghana is cleared by the Egyptian defence.

4′ – Foul on Hossam Ghaly. Egypt are sticking to the Ghanaian and Kahraba concedes a foul after a tussle for possession. Free kick comfortably saved by Ekramy.

9′ – Abou-Treika just misses with a cheeky low free kick!

12′ – Salah finds some space to feed the ball out to the opposite wing, Kahraba earns a corner! Egypt looking very lively. As expected, Ghana have been deploying some time wasting tactics so far, with players going down quite easily under challenges.

17′ – Corner to Egypt, Salah to take it.

41′ – Strong penalty shout for Egypt rejected after Salah is brought down!

44′ – Hazem Emam with some brilliant skill is brought down. Yellow card to Ghana’s number 4, free kick to Egypt. Free kick is cleared, 2 minutes of additional time to come.

46′ – Brilliant attack from Hazem Emam and Salah results in a shot which is smartly saved by the Ghanaian keeper.

HALF TIME! Egypt up 1-0, have not seen as good a performance as this from the Pharaohs in a long time!

45′ – The teams are back out and we’re underway. 1-0 at half time, can Egypt get four more?! Maybe, Egypt have a corner already!

52′ – The game is much more balanced so far in the second half. Both teams fighting for every ball! But Egypt have just earned another corner, which has been cleared.

55′ – SUB for Egypt, Abd-Rabo on for Fathi.

57′ – Over the shoulder attempt from Abou-Treika goes just over! Egypt attacking very well.

60′ – Corner to Egypt. Cleared again, as another sub is made by Bradley. Zaki off for Shikabala. Can the Zamalek talisman spark some life into the attack?!

62′ – Free kick to Ghana goes just wide as Muntari pulls the trigger from distance.

64′ – Brilliant link up play leads to another corner. Naguib heads over for a Ghanaian goal kick.

66′ – Corner to Ghana.

68′ – Shot from Shikabala goes wide. 22 minutes left, the Pharaohs hopes diminishes further as each second passes.

71′ – Much of the same as Egypt are still attacking heavily with no end product. Ghana make a change as Muntari comes off for Badu, scorer of a stunner in the first leg.

73′ Another dangerous ball in from Emam leads to nothing.

74′ – A Mohamed Salah shot has just been cleared off the line. Dangerous for Ghana. 10 men behind the ball now as they look to protect their lead. Egypt earn a free kick.

75′ – Abou-Treika heads a ball straight at the keeper, but it was offside. Up the other end now as Ghana have a corner.

78′ – Last sub for Ghana as Kevin Prince Boateng comes on for Waris.

80′ – Free kick to Ghana on the edge of the penalty area. Rabia earns a yellow card for his tackle. Free kick goes out for a goal kick.

83′ – GOALLLLLLLLL! Gedo scores as the fans throw a flare on the pitch! There might be trouble over that.

88′ – GOAL. But it’s not the goal we want. Kevin Prince Boateng scores to half the deficit. Tie over.

90′ – 5 minutes of added time to come.

92′ – Shikabala misses a guilt edged chance. Has been appalling since coming on.

FULL TIME: Ghana have made it, 7-3 on aggregate. Congratulations to the Black Stars and their fans, you will go far in Brazil.

KWAME NKRUMAH also was like Wooow!! , wat the hell has Ghana got themselves into?..When Zaki scored in the 25th minute , i was thinking as ( A BALL IS ROUND ) ,, the Pharaohs could also do wat Ghana did in Kumasi by miraculously turning things around.. Anyway, luckily, Africa got one of the saharan nation on the map being Algeria to Brazil..
I believe Egypt wil bounce back if the Politically atrocities in EGYPT comes to an end ..
The Pharaohs and AL Ahly must be proud of themselves for being the most AFCON and
CAF winners in Africa..Loooooong live Ghana ,looooooong live EGYPT ..

It was going to be all WEST AFRICAN , had it not be Algeria…hahahahahahahaha.

Ahmed Hegazy our #1 defender was injured for both legs, not an excuse, just a fact.

LOL I`m here! And honestly speaking, the Pharaohs outplayed us today..Congrats!!!.. I wonder why they didnt play like this at Kumasi..I`m sure it wouldve been a different outcome altogether.

Its easy to criticize a decision after you see the results but now i think it would have been wise to play Shika or WALID SOLIMAN over Kahraba. Even Gedo would of been a better alternative, i didnt agree with taking Zaki off as he seem as our most likely to score next and he didnt look tired.

It was finishing that was our demise today.

On another note it was a pleasant surprise to see Emam and Rabiaa play so well on the big stage.

    2010 was way more heartbreaking

i remember when ghanson said that ghana will score 7 goals today and that ghana are unbeatable and that ghana will win this 17-0. Brother ghana is a normal team, they just had a really good game in kumasi and our players all had a bad game, today all of our player had a normal game and they were killin your defence, so all your statements befor are wrong

      November 20, 2013 at 4:44 AM

Well, I wouldn’t say that your players were killing our defence as you only managed to score two goals against our B-defence. I agree that GHANSON exaggerated but I believe he was just joking. But you can be assured that if we wouldn’t have had the 6-1 advantage from the first leg, we would have totally played another game. We just did what we needed to do. Be safe in defence (what not always but mostly was the case) and to wait on counter attacks.

Nevertheless, big ups to Egypt. You’ve played very well yesterday.

    November 19, 2013 at 5:43 PM

And we are thankful and proud of the hospitality our brothers received in Cairo today. It was a very good game and egypt played like men this time.Where was Amr Zaki in the first leg? That guy is awesome! His movement, ball control and confidence makes him look like a bulldozer to our defence…Big ups to both teams though.
    Good job guys.

Egypt played a good game today. Well done. But please STOP the lasers. It was used by fans in the Algeria vs Burkina Faso game as well so I think It is a North African problem. Such a direct distraction on players by fans is UNSPORTSMANLY!
North Africans fans need to grow up! and stop throwing smoky flares onto the pitch right in the middle of a game just because you are a goal up. Once again Stop the laser pointing.Thank you.

    November 19, 2013 at 6:25 PM

@PITO let them use lasers all they want..I dont see it as an issue at all because none of our players seemed distracted by it…If we`re allowed to beat drums and blow vuvuzelas then its fair for north Africans to use lasers, smoking flares as a form of jubilation.
true talk tho, egypt played extremely well..I have never seen an African team play the way they played today..But big thanks to our FISHNET DEFENCE…the boys were brave today.

  12. El Pharao is dead

    November 20, 2013 at 7:02 PM

…and again i hear from everybody, next world cup Egypt will qualify surely. Since 1998, every time other teams qualified and said, you will qualify next world cup and we didn’t. Then 2002 everybody said, Egypt will qualify because we have won the African cup so many times and then we failed again, after the failure, everybody was 100% sure that we will qualify for Germany 2006, but we failed again. But in year 2010, Egypt will qualify for sure because it’s an African World Cup and Egypt won 3 times the African cup, but we failed again.
Then everybody was sure, the next world cup in 2014, Egypt will qualify easily, everybody said this, everybody was sure, this time Egypt will make it finally. Year 2014, we didn’t….and we will not qualify for 2018, 2022 and 2026. We will never ever qualify in the near future. Mark my words.
