Al Ahly to play 3 friendlies ahead of Club World Cup
Egyptian giants Al Ahly have announced their intention to have three preparatory fixtures before flying out to Morocco where they represent Africa for the second consecutive year at the competition.
The club’s football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz stated to the official website that the friendlies will take place on the 23rd, 27th and 30th of November with the first game being against Al-Mostakbal while the latter opponents are still unknown.
The Red Devils fly to Morocco on the 29th of November ahead of their anticipated match with World Cup winning coach Marcelo Lippi’s Guangzhou Evergrande – who were crowned Asian Champions – on the 14th of December.
The winner from this game will face European powerhouse Bayern Munich in the semi-final of the competition.
