KingFut’s Recommended Fixtures of the Week

Shikabala vs Masry

Egyptian football is looking forward to the start of the Egyptian Premier League this week.

The winter break is closing in and teams will be trying their best this week to have a good finish before the first half of their domestic season’s ending.

West Brom vs. Hull City English Premier League  – 17:00 Cairo time

A good match for Hull City to improve their league standing against a team who sacked their manager last week, following a series bad results since their win at Old Trafford three months ago. It will be an opportunity for Gedo to shine if he is given the opportunity by Steve Bruce.

Raja Casablanca vs. – FIFA Club World Cup – 21:30 Cairo time

The final of the Club World Cup. Many people will be watching the first Arabic team to take place in a World Cup final, even if it’s a club competition. Raja have impressed everyone with their performances which has improved from the first match against Auckland City to their wonderful performance against Ronaldinho’s Atlético Mineiro. Playing against a team like Bayern Munich in the final is a dream which came true for the Moroccan fans.

vs. – French Ligue 1  – 22:00 Cairo time

A Competitive match for Laurent Blanc’s men who are looking to win the title for the second time in a row. But this season is different from the previous one as PSG are facing fierce competition from both Monaco and Lille who are performing really well this season. This match will be a good chance for PSG to widen the gap on top of the league, taking them to 7 points away from Lille and thus making it harder for the later to win the title.

Inter Milan vs. – Serie A – 22:45 Cairo time

The Milan derby is always an interesting match to watch whatever the recent results both teams. Milan will go into the game being the only Italian team left at the UEFA Champions League following Juventus and Napoli’s group stage elimination. 10th place is not acceptable at all by Milan’s fans across the world. On the other hand Inter are looking for more than a Europa league position this season.

Arsenal vs. English Premier League – 22:00 Cairo time

A very critical match for Arsenal this season, as they have to win to stay at the top of the table or else risk a chance to drop to third place – coming from a loss against Man City last week. Chelsea have the chance to climb to the top if they could win this competitive match.

Zamalek vs. Al Masry – Egyptian Premier League – 17:00 Cairo time

The first match for Al Masry in the Premier League since the disaster of Port-said a few years ago. Zamalek fans are hoping for a good season and will be looking to win the title which they last won in 2004.

Hull City vs. Manchester United English Premier League  – 14:45 Cairo time

A very competitive match for the Tigers and their Pharaohs against the Red Devils. United are struggling this season at the league, positioned at 8th place and will be looking for a top four finish to qualify for the Champions league next season, which is considered by many the only way to save their season. Hull City have beaten at the KC Stadium a few weeks ago so United will be expecting a run for their money.

Al Ahly vs. Military Production Egyptian Premier League  – 17:00 Cairo time

The first match for Al Ahly after the disappointment at the Club World Cup. Al Ahly will have to forget these bad memories, put that behind them and focus on the local scene. Al Ahly fans are always looking for the title and nothing less.

Manchester City vs. Liverpool English Premier League  – 19:30 Cairo time

Another competitive match as a win may takes City to second or even first place depending on Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea’s results. Both teams are performing so well this season but Man City will be looking to extend their unbeaten record at home this season against a side with arguably the league’s best player at the moment, Luis Suarez.
