Aly Ghazal on FC Porto’s radar
22-year-old midfielder Aly Ghazal, currently playing for Nacional da Madeira, is being considered by FC Porto as a replacement for Fernando, one of their most valuable players and who is likely to leave to Manchester City in the summer.
According to Portuguese newspaper Record, Aly’s positive performances in recent matches have caught the eye of the three-time European champions and are now considering signing the Egyptian to compensate for Fernando, who is very likely to leave in the summer. Porto’s scouts have observed Ghazal on several occasions, including with the national team.
The Egyptian has been at Nacional for two seasons having a contract that runs until 2017, but has no release clause and the good relationships between Nacional and Porto are also a factor which may facilitate a transfer.
Ghazal, a former player of Wadi Degla, cemented his spot in the Nacional starting 11 this season and has played 20 league matches.
