Basel’s El-Nenny attracts West Ham interest – Report
Earlier this week, El-Nenny’s agent Jonathan Hope disclosed information regarding a potential English Premier League move for the Egyptian in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Hope brought to light that the 21-year-old FC Basel midfielder is currently holding ‘direct talks’ with an EPL club, and he is confident El-Nenny may very well be in for a move to England next season.
His agent did not specify exactly which ‘London-based’ Premier League side he was referring to, but according to EPArena.com, the club interested in El-Nenny’s services is believed to be West Ham United.
Currently standing eleventh in the Premier League with 37 points and 6 games to go, West Ham are well above the relegation zone.
Amassing 28 caps for Egypt and 42 appearances for FC Basel in all competitions this season, having also played a crucial role in their previous campaign since joining from Arab Contractors – months after Mohamed Salah’s arrival – it comes as no surprise that he has attracted the Hammers’ interest.
In his previous match with FC Basel, El-Nenny played an important role in midfield and provided the assist for Sio’s second goal as his side triumphed 2-0 over FC Luzern.
