Anderlecht battle AS Monaco for Arab Contractors starlet Taher Mohamed – Report
Anderlecht and AS Monaco are reportedly interested in Arab Contractors midfield starlet Taher Mohamed, who has also been offered to FC Basel.
The young attacking midfielder, who is a member of the Egyptian U-17 national team, has also attracted the eyes of scouts from AS Monaco and Russia’s FC Tom Tomsk, according to reports.
Taher, whose senior debut with Arab Contractors was against Al Ahly in the Egyptian Premier League a few months ago, has a 3-year contract with the club – which means negotiations would take place directly with the club’s president, Sherif Habib.
It’s worth noting that president Habib – who says Taher will follow in the footsteps of Mohamed El-Nenny and Mohamed Salah, who both departed to FC Basel from the same club – also offered the young exciting prospect to Basel’s board of directors last January.
FC Basel personally asked the board of Arab Contractors to recommend a replacement for Mohamed Salah in January – prior to them agreeing on a transfer fee with Chelsea.
