Ghana announce 23-man World Cup squad
Ghana have made known their final 23 players due to participate at the World Cup in Brazil.
Coach Kwasi Appiah had announced a 26-man squad but trimmed it to a final 23 earlier on Sunday.
Leicester City’s Jeffery Schulpp, David Accam and defender Jerry Akaminko who injured his ankle in Ghana-Holland game were dropped.

Defenders: Samuel Inkoom (Platanias), Daniel Opare (Standard Liege), Harrison Afful (Esperance), John Boye (Rennes), Jonathan Mensah (Evian), Rashid Sumalia (Mamelodi Sundowns)
Midfielders: Michael Essien (AC Milan), Sulley Muntari (AC Milan), Rabiu Mohammed (Kuban Krasnodar), Kwadwo Asamoah (Juventus), Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu (Udinese), Afriyie Acquah (Parma), Christian Atsu (Vitesse), Albert Adomah (Middlesbrough), Andre Ayew (Marseille), Mubarak Wakaso (Rubin Kazan)
Forwards: Asamoah Gyan (Al Ain), Kevin-Prince Boateng (Schalke 04), Abdul Majeed Waris (Valenciennes), Jordan Ayew (Sochaux)
The Black Stars have been seeded in one of the toughest groups at the World Cup as they accompany Germany, Portugal and the United States.
Ghana take on Jürgen Klinsmann’s USA in their first match in the group stages on the 16th of June.
Kwasi Appiah’s team are set to start camp in Miami before heading over to Brazil.
