Ahly, Zamalek to lock horns in first match of Egyptian Premier League final phase
The Egyptian Premier League draw for the final phase of the competition was held at the Football Association’s headquarters on Wednesday, which resulted in Cairo giants Al Ahly and Zamalek drawn together in the first round.
The draw for the final phase of the Egyptian Premier League, conducted by the world’s most-capped player Ahmed Hassan, was held by the competition committee of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) in its headquarters on Wednesday.
The Cairo giants will play their first match in the final phase of the Egyptian Premier League – one round robin between the top two teams from Group A and B – against rivals Zamalek on Monday the 28th of June at 8:30 PM.
The match will either be held at the Cairo International Stadium or the Air Defense Stadium.
Al Ahly will then play their second match against Group B winners Petrojet on the 2nd of July in the Alexandria Stadium at 9:30 PM, while Zamalek face Smouha.
The Red Devils’ final match will be against Smouha as Zamalek meet Petrojet on the 7th of July in the round that will determine the champions of the Egyptian Premier League.
