Egyptian Premier League to start on 18th of September

Egyptian FAThe Egyptian Football Federation has announced that the 2014/2015 will kick-off on September 18th.

The EFA decided in their meeting on Tuesday that the league will start on the 18th of September, with the Egypt Super Cup between Al Ahly and Zamalek to be played on the 14th.

Egypt’s football governing body also decided that the 2014/2015 season will see an abandoning of the two group format which was implemented to avoid clashes between Al Ahly and Al Masry who have severed ties with one another following the Port Said disaster in 2012.

Furthermore, it was also decided that the the home and away games between both sides will be played on a neutral venue, namely the Agroud Stadium in Suez.

It is also worth mentioning that the EFA members are set to hold a meeting with the Ministry of Defence to finalise the decisions.

A medical student who loves football. Any free time I have is usually dedicated to football. I support Al Ahly and Real Madrid (Al Ahly comes first of course). Contrary to popular belief, I believe that females enjoy football as much as males do; I am a living proof :D Proud that I am writing for King Fut.

God bless Egypt. Seriously i think it was a huge mistake to let El Masry join Egypt’s premiere league again. Yes,the incident happened during very revolutionary days, but seriously their fans are responsible some how. 72 Egyptian Ahly fans got killed for chanting against the regime and El Masry fans cooperated with the Police in the collective punishment against Ultras Ahlawy. Revolution or not, its big shame seeing El Masry back and has to face El Ahly too.

El Masry is the best club in the world. Shut the f*** up. The millitary clubs and company should be been closed instead a famous club with a big fanbase, you stupid.
