Al Ahly announce Confederation Cup final match date

Al Ahly have announced early on Sunday that the team will be playing the second leg of the Confederation Cup final against Ivorian football club Sewe Sport on Saturday, 6th of December.

According to Mahmoud Allam, the club’s director, an approval was sent to him allowing the Red Devils to play the match at Cairo International stadium but the management is currently pushing towards increasing the number of tickets from 20,000 to 40,000 allowing more fans to support the team from the stadium.

Al Ahly are seeking to add the first Confederation Cup title to the team’s African trophy cabinet after reaching the final match following their victory in the semi’s against Coton Sport of Cameroon.

It is worth noting that the first leg will be played on 29th of November in Abidjan.

The winner of the Confederation Cup will be facing ES Setif, the CAF Champions League winner in the Super Cup.
