Salah left out as Chelsea ease past Watford in FA Cup

Salah - Chelsea ease watched from the bench as defeated Watford 3-0 to progress to the 4th round of the .

The game started quite dull as the first half ended 0-0. Chelsea, despite the possession, had Watford sitting back, defending in numbers and battling hard for every ball.

But as soon as the second half started, the game’s momentum picked up. Willian opened the scoring for the hosts, as Costa crossed the ball from the left, only to find Remy, who pushed it on to Willian, who rifled in from the edge of the box.

Watford continued to defend and had several chances on the break, but Loic Remy scored after a one-two between Costa and Drogba. In the final minutes of the game, Kurt Zouma seized the win for Chelsea with a header, following Cezar Azpilicueta’s cross in the box.

Mohamed Salah was left on the bench yet again, after appearing for a short period in Chelsea’s 3-5 loss to Tottenham last Tuesday in the Premier League.
