VIDEO: Juventus beat Salah’s Fiorentina 3-0 to make Coppa Italia history

Juventus beat Mohamed Salah’s Fiorentina 3-0 in Florence to reach the Coppa Italia final for the 15th time in history.

After a surprising brilliant first leg for Salah’s Fiorentina, in which the Egyptian scored two goals at the Juventus Stadium, the Old Lady put on a perfect second leg performance to turn the tie around and reach the Coppa Italia final.

In the first few minutes of the game, a Mohamed Salah goal was ruled out for a foul on a Juventus defender. Salah had a brilliant first 15 minutes, dribbling past Juventus players time and time again.

However, on the 20-minute mark, a Pereyra shot was deflected by Neto to find Matri, who tapped the ball past the Brazilian keeper to score his side’s first of the night.

Another Fiorentina goal was ruled out for offside in the 37th minute when Fernandez’s cross found Rodriguez’s head in the area, however, the linesman raised his flag.

Three minutes later, Pereyra added Juventus’ second to make the score 2-0 and put the Old Lady in front on aggregate.

In the second half, Montella’s team still looked clueless against a very tough Juventus side, before Bonucci put the game to bed early on. A brilliant corner-kick into the area was smashed home by the defender to make it 4-2 on aggregate.

Juventus flooded Neto with shot after shot, but the Brazilian wouldn’t let any more go past him.

With 20 minutes to go, Montella brought on Senegalese striker Babacar for Mario Gomez in an attempt to decrease the deficit, however, the result did not change.

Four yellow cards were awarded in the game to Marchisio, Chiellini, Sturaro and Rodriguez, and one red card was shown to Spanish striker Alvaro Morata just minutes before the final whistle, following a dangerous tackle on Diamanti.

This is just La Viola’s second defeat since signing Salah on loan after a disappointing performance in front of their home fans.

Fiorentina face Napoli in Serie A next Sunday in their journey to snatch Champions League qualification.

I am a doctor to be who has been passionate about football since I was just a kid. I've played for multiple clubs throughout the past decade including ElSeid and Maadi. My dream is to be football manager along with being a doctor, a mix that would be tough to achieve but doable for sure. I Enjoy what am doing, writing has always been a talent I like to put to use, that's why I like being part of the Kingfut family
