Zamalek sign Haras El-Hodood left-back Omar Saad
Zamalek have managed to sign Haras El-Hodood left-back Omar Saad on a 5–year deal.
Saad will join Zamalek on a free transfer in the summer after refusing to extend his contract with military-owned side Haras El-Hodood.
The 28-year old said in statements on the radio Wednesday that he signed he has officially signed his contract with Zamalek and finalized the paper work.
“Zamalek was a dream for me that I managed to achieve,” said Saad after his team’s 1-0 win against Dakhleya.
Saad said he hopes his journey with Zamalek, which starts in June, goes well.
“I won’t stop here, I will give outstanding performances with Zamalek that allows me to attain my dreams and join the Egyptian national team,” Saad said.
Zamalek board member Ahmed Soliman said that Saad is a good player who managed to secure a regular spot in Haras El-Hodood’s squad for the past four years. He added that Zamalek might sign another left-back in case Mohamed Abdel-Shafy, who is currently on loan at Al-Ahli Jeddah, continued to play abroad.
Saad will reportedly receive one million EGP in his first season with Zamalek. He used to get 180 thousands EGP annually during his contract with El-Hodood.
