EXCLUSIVE: Shikabala nears Zamalek return
Sporting Lisbon playmaker Mahmoud Abdel-Razek ‘Shikabala’s move to Cairo giants Zamalek is close to being completed after the player was present at the club headquarters on Sunday, KingFut.com understands.
Shikabala, a fan favourite, has been liked with a return to the White Castle ever since he left to the Lisbon-based club but the move is finally being concluded after he had a meeting with Zamalek’s board earlier on Sunday.
The player met with Mortada Mansour’s son, Ahmed, to discuss the transfer back to the club and a conclusion has been made, with Ahmed Mortada Mansour and Hany Zada expected to travel to Lisbon to finalise matters with Sporting, KingFut can exclusively reveal.
In addition, Shika is expected to have a meeting with Mortada Mansour to clear the air after the player’s previous comments saying he won’t play for Zamalek as long as Mortada is their current president.
With the player signing a contract with the club which will take effect in August, and having sealed the return of Mohamed Ibrahim from Maritimo, the club have let go of their interest in Misr El-Maqassa talent Ahmed El-Sheikh.
Later, Zamalek confirmed the news with the below tweet.

Shikabala signed for Sporting in January 2014, but since the start of last summer has went AWOL, with the club president recently confirming that he doesn’t know where the player is.
