Al Ahly left-back Hussein El-Sayed ruled out for a month

Hussein El-Sayed
Al Ahly left-back Hussein El-Sayed has been ruled out for a month after he suffered a shoulder injury.

El-Sayed picked up the injury during the team’s 1-0 loss to Arab Contractors on Monday.

The 23-year-old was brought off the field during the game’s first half because of the injury, which was later found to be a fracture in his shoulder.

Ahly manager might be facing a problem in offsetting the absence of El-Sayed, as Sabry Rahil, El-Sayed’s only competitor for the left-back position, had been regularly excluded from the team’s squad in the past months.

Al Ahly have been hit by a number of injuries in the past few months, including the team’s defender Mohamed Naguib and striker Amr Gamal.

The Red Devils are set to meet Moghreb Tetouan on Saturday in the Round of 16 second leg. Al Ahly were defeated away 1-0 by the Moroccan champions.
