Al Ahly new coach Fathi Mabrouk has announced the 20-man squad to face in the Egyptian Premier League on Wednesday.

Al Ahly will face Al-Nasr in the 28th week of the Egyptian league. This will be the team’s first game under the interim manager, Fathi Mabrouk, who took over following the sacking of Juan Carlos Garrido.

Al Ahly squad list has witnessed some changes from the previous match, with the exclusion of Karim Bambo and Islam Roshdy due to technical reasons, while Walid Soliman was excluded after picking an injury during the team’s loss to Moghreb Tetouan in the CAF Champions League.

Sherif Abdel-Fadil, Mohamed Hamdy and Mohamed Nagy ‘Gedo’ have all returned to the squad.

Full Squad:

Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekramy, Ahmed Adel, Mossad Awad.

Defenders: Sherif Hazem, Bassem Ali, Saad Samir, Sabry Rahil, Sherif Abdel-Fadil, Mohamed Hamdy.

Midfielders: Hossam Ghaly, Hossam Ashour, Abdallah El-Said, Mohamed Rizk, Ramadan Sobhy, Mahmoud Hassan ‘Trezeguet’, Momen Zakaria.

Forwards: Saladin Said, Emad Meteb, Ahmed Abdel-Zaher, Mohamed Nagy ‘Gedo’.

Al Ahly will strive to win their game against Al-Nasr who currently lies in the bottom 3 in the Egyptian league table and look set for relegation at the end of the current season.

The Red Devils currently sit third in the preceded by ENPPI and Zamalek.

Mohammed Salama is a 21-year-old who fell in love with football since Egypt's AFCON final match against Ivory Coast! Strangely enough an Al Ahly and Al Masry fan locally. In addition, he's a hardcore Bayern Munich supporter.
