Ferriera announces Zamalek squad to face Sanga Balende



Zamalek coach Jesualdo Ferreira has announced the 20-man squad to face Sanga Belende in the first leg of the CAF Confederations Cup round of 16 match.

The Portuguese coach has announced the squad travelling to Congo on Friday the 15th. The squad list has witnessed the exclusuion of Abdoulaye Cisse, Youssef Obama, Saleh Moussa, Ahmed Dweidar and Mohamed Shaaban due to technical resons.

Zamalek squad:

Goalkeepers: Ahmed El-Shennawy, Mohamed Abou-Gabal, Mahmoud Genesh.

Defenders: Mohammed Koffi, Ali Gabr, Hamada Tolba, Ahmed Samir, Hazem Emam, Islam Gamal, Omar Gaber.

Midfielders: Ayman Hefny, Ibrahim Salah, Moruf Youssef, Ahmed Eid Abdel-Malek,  Tarek Hamed, Mostafa Fathy, Ahmed Tawfik.

Forwards: Ahmed Ali, Bassem Morsi, Khaled Kamar.

The Premier League leaders will try to return to Cairo with a good result in order to progress to the CAF Confederations Cup group stages. It is worth to noting that Zamalek knocked out Moroccan side Fath Union Club in the round of 32 after winning 3-2 on aggregate.

Mohammed Salama is a 20-year-old who fell in love with football since Egypt's AFCON final match against Ivory Coast! Strangely enough an Al Ahly and Al Masry fan locally. In addition, he's a hardcore Bayern Munich supporter.
