Al Ahly coach Fathi Mabrouk has announced the 19-man squad to face Club Africain in the first leg of the CAF Confederations Cup round of 16.

The Egyptian coach has announced the squad available to face the Tunisian side. The list has witnessed the exclusion of Momen Zakaria and Walid Soliman due to injuries. While Bassem Ali misses due to suspension. Hossam Ashour and Peter Ebi return to the squad despite the fact that they’re not fully fit.

Al Ahly Squad:

Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekramy, Ahmed Adel, Mosaad Awad.

Defenders: Saad Samir, Sabry Rahil, Mohamed Naguib, Sherif Hazem.

Midfielders: Hossam Ghaly, Hossam Ashour, Abdallah El-Said, Mohamed Rizk, Ramadan Sobhy, Mahmoud Hassan ‘Trezeguet’, Islam Roushdy, Karim Bambo.

Forwards: Emad Meteb, Ahmed Abdel-Zaher, Peter Ebomboei, Salahdin Said.

The Red Devils will try to beat Club Africain in order to progress to the CAF Confedertions Cup group stages.

It is worth noting that Al Ahly were knocked out from the CAF Champions league under the leadership of sacked Spanish manager Juan Carlos Garrido.

Mohammed Salama is a 21-year-old who fell in love with football since Egypt's AFCON final match against Ivory Coast! Strangely enough an Al Ahly and Al Masry fan locally. In addition, he's a hardcore Bayern Munich supporter.
