The number of Egyptian players abroad have been increasing in recent years. Many factors have contributed to this rise of Pharaohs Abroad, for example the cancellation of seasons following the Port Said tragedy, and the fact that matches are being played without fans till this date. There has also been increased exposure due to the success of some Egypt internationals abroad, including Mohamed Salah, Mohamed El-Nenny, Aly Ghazal and Ahmed Hassan ‘Koka’, and even half-Egyptian players, such as Stephan El Shaarawy. However, my favourite catalyst for Egyptians to chase their dreams in Europe is to improve their abilities. Some players are just too good to continue their career playing in the , even if they are featuring for Cairo giants Al Ahly or Zamalek.

So, without further ado, here are the 10 Egyptian Premier League players Pharaohs Abroad Correspondent Mohamed Osama thinks deserve a chance in Europe this summer.

DISCLAIMER: The “Player he is similar to” does not compare the players’ skills in ANY WAY, it just refers to similar playing styles. Also, the players are not listed in any specific order.

I am a doctor to be who has been passionate about football since I was just a kid. I've played for multiple clubs throughout the past decade including ElSeid and Maadi. My dream is to be football manager along with being a doctor, a mix that would be tough to achieve but doable for sure. I Enjoy what am doing, writing has always been a talent I like to put to use, that's why I like being part of the Kingfut family

Loved this article. Agreed with pretty much every word but I have a question. Realistically speaking, how many of these 10 do you think will actually get a move to Europe this summer? I don’t have much hope for any of them seeing as every owner for every Egyptian club is selfish and doesn’t like change but who knows…

Let’s hope half of them. That would be an optimist’s hopes and dreams.

I wouldn’t put Shika on the list if he scored 1000 goals this season.
