Zamalek announce squad

Zamalek manager Jesualdo Ferreira has announced the 18-man squad to face Assiouty Sport in the next round of the Egyptian Premier League.

The Portuguese coach only made one change to the squad from the previous match against Sanga Balende in the CAF Confederations Cup, a controversial game that saw Zamalek’s lose, the team’s third choice goalkeeper Mahmoud Genesh was excluded.  While, Abdoulaye Cisse, Youssef Obama, Saleh Moussa, Ahmed Dweidar and Mohamed Shaaban continue missing due to technical reasons.

Zamalek Squad:

Goalkeepers: Ahmed El-Shennawy, Mohamed Abou-Gabal.

Defenders: Mohammed Koffi, Ali Gabr, Hamada Tolba, Ahmed Samir, Islam Gamal, Hazem Emam, Omar Gaber.

Midfielders: Ayman Hefny, Ibrahim Salah, Moruf Youssef, Ahmed Eid Abdel-Malek,  Tarek Hamed, Mostafa Fathy, Ahmed Tawfik.

Forwards: Ahmed Ali, Bassem Morsi, Khaled Kamar.

The Premier league leaders will strive to win the three points against Assiouty Sport who currently lie at 19th position and set to be relegated at the end of the season. The Whites will try to maintain the current points difference with ENPPI (2nd) and Al Ahly (3rd).

Mohammed Salama is a 20-year-old who fell in love with football since Egypt's AFCON final match against Ivory Coast! Strangely enough an Al Ahly and Al Masry fan locally. In addition, he's a hardcore Bayern Munich supporter.
