Ramadan Sobhy

AS Roma have expressed interest in signing Al Ahly and Egypt prodigy Ramadan Sobhy, as per reports in Italy.

According to, AS Roma have sent a representative to Egypt to speak with Al Ahly regarding the transfer of Ramadan Sobhy, who they believe will be ‘the new Salah’.

Sobhy has welcomed the possibility of joining the Giallorossi, and reports suggest that Al Ahly would be willing to sell the 1997-born attacking midfielder – who recently made his Egyptian senior team debut – for €5 million.

On the other hand, director of football Walter Sabatini, who admitted he committed a mistake by not signing Mohamed Salah when he had the chance, wishes to first take Sobhy on loan with the option to make the loan permanent later.

Roma may have work to do to lure the young Pharaoh however, with Udinese, Arsenal and Schalke 04 all reportedly interested.

Mohaned Ghanem, is a graduate of the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. Avid supporter of all things Egypt, especially Al Ahly. Gooner.

Actually, in that special case & unlike with other rediculous asking prices from Egyptian Teams, I think that he is worth 5 Million or even more! Therefore a loan deal would make sense. If he proves his talent, a european team will pay a satisfying price.

Our clubs should think profficinaly. This is not the first or last peace of business they will do with European clubs. Unfortunately our clubs don’t know how to do business or at least that’s what they think of us. 3 millions is fine with a percentage of future sale would be great
